1956
The company is founded in Frauenzimmern/Germany. Eugen Lägler takes the daring step of setting up his own company together with his wife Gerda. He calls the first floor sanding machine he developed ELF – simply taking the first letters of "Eugen Lägler Frauenzimmern".
The cylinder sanding machine ELF 1 and edge sanding machine ELF 3 are the first machines to be manufactured by the Swabian inventor, who was to revolutionise floor sanding.
1964
Eugen Lägler develops and builds the RASANT especially for the Austrian market, which preferred smaller cylinder sanding machines.
1969
With the development of the legendary belt sanding machine HUMMEL® Eugen Lägler sets new standards in every respect. The uniqueness and quality of the machine has often been copied but never matched. Continually optimised, it still represents state-of-the-art technology even today.
1974
The edge sanding machine RANDMEISTER ("edge master") is launched on the market.
1981
The edge and stair sanding machine ELAN for sanding edges and wooden staircases is introduced as a lightweight alternative to the RANDMEISTER.
1984
Eugen Lägler develops the centrifugal sanding system and leads it to success in the rental sector in the cylinder sanding machines PROFIT / ELF 200.
1993
LÄGLER surprises the branch with the triple disc sanding machine TRIO. With its integrated, sensor-monitored dust extraction feature, it is the first floor sanding machine to be awarded the "GS wood dust test" approval mark by the German Woodworkers trade association (Holz BG) and work almost dust-free.
2001
Development and market launch of the edge and corner sanding machine FLIP. Made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic, it stands for a new generation of sanding machines.
2003
LÄGLER develops the single-disc sanding machine SINGLE for finishing or intermediate sanding and sub-floor preparation.
2004
LÄGLER sets the course for the future by extending the company premises at the Frauenzimmern location. Presentation of the SINGLE milling disc and the SINGLE additional weight.
2005
The edge and corner sanding machine FLIP is awarded the "wood dust test" approval mark by the German Woodworkers trade association (Holz Berufs-genossenschaft) and is thus the first edge sanding machine in the world to work almost dust-free.
